First the Thank you's Vic, Simon and all you other riders who made Sunday a fantastic day all round. We got to Mcd's early enough to have breakfast -which was nice- and left at 10:00 15 bikes in all. we made our way to Bradford on Avon for Coffee Loo & smoke stop and the sun had come out -which was nice- then on down to Cern Abbas. How many horse boxes? more than we wanted to see. I got to look at the lovely views, Vic got to look at horses arses. We had about an hour stop enough time for lunch and the feeling to return to my bum. then off we go again. Sorry Simon you can take your water wings next time for the watersplash. We got back to the Cross hands about 6:30 long day good ride good weather fantastic company Thank You All

Great ride - many thanks to Vic & Dee for excellent direction & leadership. Lets not forget Simon either who did a great job as tail-end-charlie. By the time I got home my speedo registered 215 miles - this was confirmed by my bum !!! According to my count there were 15 bikes & from chatting to most during the various stops all agreed it was a very sucessful trip.

I first thing I have to report is ...AAAaaaaaaaagggggggggggghmyburm!!!
Thankyou Vic 'n' Dee and tailman Simon. What a glorious ride.
We were told the weather was going to be good so we abandoned the wet kit and took the sarnies instead.... eagerly meeting up with our fellow members at the Mcdonalds Carpark. Simon said ' I doubt Tony and Carol will make it, they only got back from the europe rally yesterday' as they swung round the corner! We sort of forgave them for the 'filthy state' of their bike because Tony declared that as the sun was shining it seemed a shame to waste the day cleaning when more miles could be added for the mileage competition. Quite right Tony.. Well done to them. The roads were soon resonanting with the sound of our Harleys as we travelled on our way to see the Knob. I have absolutely no idea how we got there but it was lovely. At Bradford on Avon Vic took us down a housing estate ( I wasnt the only one to think that Vics tom tom had gone 'kaput', wrongly I may add! ) which led to at a car park with a cafe, next to a Lock with barges going through it. Very Scenic. ( see photo ). We set of again, after the boys finally got back from the Loo queue ( it's usually the girls excuse ). More scenic riding and we arrived at Cerne Abbas and took over the carpark overlooking what we had come to see. Most decided to venture of to the village for the BBQ. Murray, meself and a couple of others ( sorry rubbish with names ) sat and admired ( I think the men just looked at ) the view. The google earth view is a better one. No more comment needed as it may not be printed anyway!?! I still say it was an Iron Age Porn Site. The others came back up the road and we were soon off again following Vic 'n' Dee along a nice selection of roads and like Simon I would have enjoyed the watersplash, it may even have cleaned Tonys bike a bit. The route was amazing I still had no idea where we were but Vic did which was just as well especially going through Bath. A beautiful City if you can ignore the traffic! A welcome stop at The White Post pub as by now I was being a right fidget as my backside was beginning to rebel. Poor Murray. We finished the ride at the Cross Hands Pub at Brockworth where I quickly jumped off for a 'stretch' and said Thanks and see you all soon, then it was off to home for Tea. Cheers again Vic.

15 bikes turned up at McDonalds Cheltenham for Vic's run to the Cerne Abbas Giant, the route was varied with good A & B roads and even a goat track. Vic had scheduleed a stop for coffee at Bradbury-On-Avon and Bacon rolls for those who had missed breakfast, Once we had seen the Giant we carried on into the village for a BBQ at one of the local pubs. When leaving Cerne Abbas we took a very scenic goat track, but I must say I was very disappointed when we didn't go through the Ford I was looking forward to dipping my feet in and making a big splash. A very good day with some great views and varied roads, only trouble is I am now well overdue for my service with the 210 miles I covered. Thanks & Well Done Vic & Dee for a great ride.
